Product Upgrade: Narrative Deposition Summaries

When it comes to leveraging oral discovery, efficiency and fact finding are paramount. At Parrot we understand there are a finite number of hours in a day, so we aim to provide our clients with tools that   streamline their processes and support strategic work. That's why we're thrilled to announce the release of our latest feature upgrade: Narrative Deposition Summaries.

The first version of our summaries was chronologically based, offering a sequence of page:line mini-summaries. While this format has been and will continue to be useful in many situations, we recognized an opportunity to innovate further. With Narrative Summaries, we provide an alternative way to present the information, organizing it into cohesive narratives that group relevant details together.

In addition to summarizing the testimony, we bring a couple other areas to the forefront. First, Parrot’s AI auto-extracts facts and events mentioned in the proceeding and sorts them into a timeline. Our technology also adds a witness impression assessment, including the witness’ credibility with a list of potential contradictions.

So, how do these features help our clients?

1. Streamlined workflow: By organizing information into narratives, users can grasp the context and significance of events more quickly and intuitively. With topics grouped together, users can easily locate the information they need without navigating through multiple tiles. This saves time and allows for a more efficient workflow.

2. Timeline View: We know establishing a timeline of facts can be crucial in any case, which is why we’ve added a list of critical events discussed during the proceeding. The auto-generated chronology keeps you from the manual and time consuming task of creating a timeline yourself.  

3. Witness assessment: At the end of each summary, we sum up how the witness presented themselves, based on observations such as trying to avoid answering or contradicting themselves throughout the deposition.

4. Style Choice: We understand that preferences vary among users, so we've incorporated a toggle feature that allows users to seamlessly switch between the original chronological view and the new narrative format. This flexibility ensures that users can access information in the manner that best suits their needs.
